Interviewing at Dimensional

Let’s Talk

Dimensional is always looking to add talented people to our team. Our interview process helps you find the job that best matches your skills and interests so you can have a positive impact on the firm and your own success. (For a more detailed look, download our “Dimensional Hiring Process.”)

Interview Step 1_Thumb
First, Meet Your Recruiter
The first step is an interview with a recruiter to assess your candidacy. That is an introductory discussion that goes through your basic qualifications and prior experiences, and shares insights around the position’s goals and Dimensional at large.
Interview Step 2_Thumb
Next, Learn About the Role
Candidates who advance from the recruiter interview will speak with a member of the hiring team, typically the hiring manager. This business interview delves deeper into your overall experience and helps assess whether your background and interests align well with the needs of the role. It also gives you a deeper glimpse into the team.

Finally, Show Your Strengths
The final stage is to meet with a variety of other team members and relevant stakeholders. These interviews are to assess specific job-related strengths and what you can bring to the team and the firm. They also aim to ensure you walk away with a good understanding of the team and the role so you can make an informed decision for your career.

Know the Role
Make sure you have a strong grasp of the position you are seeking. Have points ready that speak to your relevant experience.
Know Your Interviewer
Familiarize yourself with your interviewers’ background and role at Dimensional. Do your best to understand how that role relates to the position you’re considering.
Be Interested
Prepare to talk about what drew you to Dimensional and why you’re interested in joining the company in a particular role. We are excited about the work we do and appreciate seeing that enthusiasm in candidates.
Be Ready
First impressions count, so make sure you arrive early. This will give you time to ensure you are comfortable and ready before the interview process begins.
Be Curious
Have insightful questions prepared for the interviewers. The best questions go beyond the basics of the job and demonstrate your interest in truly understanding the role.
Be Forthcoming
We don’t expect you to be an expert in everything. We look for a strong background in what the role requires, a positive attitude, a desire to be part of a team, and a willingness to learn.
Dress to Impress
We aim to project a strong professional presence that aligns with the services we provide to our clients. Accordingly, business professional attire is encouraged.
Be Yourself
While it’s important to be professional and prepared, you want to do so in a way that reflects your true self. We encourage you to balance professionalism with authenticity—so we will get to know the real you! And we will do the same.

Do I need to attach a cover letter?

Cover letters are not required for most roles, but you do have the option to add a cover letter if you feel it strengthens your application.

Can I edit my application once it has been submitted?

No, unfortunately you cannot edit your application once submitted. Should you need to change your application, please withdraw and resubmit, or reach out to your recruiter.

If there are multiple roles that interest me, should I apply for all of them?

Please apply to the top three roles that most interest you and align best with your experience. Our recruiting team will screen you for all open roles across departments. After an application has closed, we will keep your résumé on file and reach out should you be a fit elsewhere.

Can I use artificial intelligence during my interview process?

The use of artificial intelligence during interviews and skill testing is prohibited, unless Dimensional has authorized such use.

Is Dimensional able to offer fully remote roles?

While certain select roles are eligible for remote work, Dimensional sees great value from collaborating in our offices, and we also appreciate the benefits of flexibility. Most roles fit our office-first hybrid approach: We are together on our campuses Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays and have the choice to work in the office or remotely on Mondays and Fridays, depending on what is best for that workday. This approach maximizes in-person collaboration and interaction while simultaneously providing flexibility. This applies to most roles globally, with a few exceptions that require more or less time in the office—the application will explicitly outline a position’s requirements. Your recruiter can confirm the details for each specific role.

How should I approach questions regarding compensation?

Please input your desired total compensation in your application so our recruiters can best align on compensation expectations. You will also have an opportunity to discuss your compensation expectations during the recruiter interview and in the offer stage should you reach that point in the process. Our goal is to make competitive offers that are commensurate with the knowledge and skills required for the role, and that is the lens through which we approach any compensation conversation.

Whom should I contact if I have a question?

Please reach out to [email protected] or your recruiter directly for additional information.
